There could not have been a clearer statement: „What we have seen here was phenomenal", said exhibition management Messe Fulda GmbH and IKR (Community of Interests of Manufacturers of Ambulances and Rescue Vehicles) in regard to the trade-show that ended yesterday.

"We had more than 20,000 visitors in a period of 3 days this year and managed to get on par with last year's numbers", explained Messe Fulda GmbH CEO Dieter Udolph. "9th RETTmobil has been a great success", he was pleased to announce. This is remarkable considering that last year's fair was open for one additional day on the occasion of the delegate-meeting of the German Association of Fire-Departments.

A flood of visitors attended the exhibition at Fulda-Galerie from Wednesday until Friday of this week, to which the organisers quickly and readily responded, a view that is shared by IKR Chairman Manfred Hommel and the vast majority of exhibitors. "Many of them have already booked for next year's RETTmobil 2010 among which some increased the size of their display areas substantially. Satisfied faces all over - exhibitors and visitors alike.

The Large Compartment Emergency and Rescue Truck on display at main-entrance attracted considerable interest from the visitors. It was produced in the Federal State of Rheinland-Pfalz and is bound for delivery in the immediate future. More than 500 visitors were guided through this exceptional special-purpose vehicle each day and had a chance to see high-tech first hand. "We even had to interrupt the guided tours at times just to give our own staff a short break", said project-manager Dr. von Bergh overwhelmed by the exceptional interest the exhibit created.

A visitors survey conducted over the course of the trade fair provided RETTmobil organisers with valuable data for the future. "We will analyse the results of this survey in order to further promote RETTmobil as the Leading European Exhibition for Rescue and Mobility", Prof. Christian Behrends stated. More than 600 visitors participated in answering the questionnaire compiled by the University of Fulda. Preliminary results show that 86% of those asked had a good to very-good assessment of this year's fair. More than 76% intend to revisit this qualified exhibition in the City of Fulda next year.

The numerous advanced training courses attended by rescue specialists from Germany, its neighbouring countries, the USA, Canada, Turkey and Africa have been successful as well.
Several hundred participants continuously filled 3 separate seminar-rooms during the entire trade-fair. Some seminars were completely booked-out well in advance.
